Access Control Systems

Control who enters your premises and when

Protect employees, assets and information

Secure an area or sector

Intruders do not necessarily enter your building outside of business hours.

In fact, it’s not uncommon for thieves to simply walk into an office on the off chance no one will see them or sometimes they may pose as a technician or just look like they ‘should be there’.

If you want the peace of mind of knowing who is coming and going from your premises – and when– an Access Control System is the answer.

An access control system is like your own electronic gatekeeper. It allows authorised personnel to come and go freely. At the same time it denies entry to unwanted visitors.

For ‘sensitive’ areas within your premises, it even lets you control which of your people can unlock doors and gain entry to specific locations by person, day of the week, and time of  day.

And with walk-in thieves and trespassers shut out, you dramatically reduce your exposure to crime while increasing the security of your employees, visitors, information and assets.

There are different types of electronic systems that enable you to control access:

  • PIN Numbers entered into a code pad
  • Proximity access cards or fobs with proximity readers
  • Biometric systems that recognise a person’s iris, fingerprint or facial features.

The type of system that is right for you depends on the type of premises, your level of threat, and your budget.

When you choose a ProtecSYS Access Control System you can rest easy knowing that it is state-of-the art and that it’s backed by our unprecedented 3-Way Guarantee.

Door Keys vs Electronic Access Control System?

Gone are the days when keys ensure your property is secure from unwanted visitors.  Here are  five ways companies expose themselves to unnecessary risks by continuing to use door keys.

1. 24/7 Access

If an employee has a key, they can open a door any time of day or night. With access control, you decide when the doors can be used and by whom.

2. Lost keys falling into the wrong hands

If a key is lost or an employee leaves, your security is severely compromised unless you re-key all of your locks. With card access, simply program the system to disable the card in question. All other cards continue to work properly.

3. Not knowing who has entered

Keys are anonymous. Access control systems create a detailed audit trail so you know exactly whose card opened a door and when. Your employees know this, too, which discourages inappropriate behaviour.

4. Inability to restrict employees

If an employee’s access needs change, the access cards can be quickly reprogrammed.

Or, if an employee leaves, you can give his card to a new employee and all the access rights will reflect the latter person’s rights.

5. Multiple keys for multiple areas is inefficient

With access control, one card unlocks every door the employee is allowed to open. There’s no need for separate keys for each lock.

The alternative? An electronic access control system gives you complete control over who is entering, and when. Ask about the different options that are available when you call.

“Trusted and Reliable Level of Support”

ProtecSYS has been the preferred provider of security services to QFFS for over 10 years. During this time they have provided a trusted and reliable level of support and services to ensure that our Distribution Centre is monitored 24 hours a day through video surveillance and intruder alarm systems.

I have been so pleased with the ProtecSYS team that QFFS has again engaged them provide an upgrade to our security and camera surveillance systems to incorporate major building extensions which will include new freezers, restricted staff access zones, video intercoms and surveillance to all new areas.

I would have no hesitation in recommending ProtecSYS to anyone requiring a total security system solution for their business, and a service provider who will maintain a professional and reliable attitude toward their customers long after the installation is complete.
